We’re on the home stretch!
We’re just $16,000 away from hitting our fundraising target to purchase 133 hectares of regionally significant forest wetland in Taranaki. As a result of development and farming, there is less than 10% of this particular type of habitat left in the region, making this remnant an incredibly valuable part of the ecosystem.
The support we’ve received has been truly outstanding with only $16,000, or 3% of the $500,000 purchase price left to raise. $250,000 of this was secured through an incredibly generous donation by the Lowe family, with an additional $234,000 (to date) coming from our public campaign and some bequest funding.
If you’re able to help get us over the line with a donation today, you’ll be helping to secure this area of significant natural heritage for generations to come. Every dollar counts so please help us keep this area safe forever. Any funds that we receive over and above our target will go towards the ongoing management of the property. Thank you all again for your wonderful support.
